By accessing, using, or registering with the Websites or Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

We value privacy and treat personal information as confidential. We use or share information only as described in this Policy or as you otherwise permit, subject to applicable law.

Scope; Public Areas

This Policy does not apply to information you choose to make public. If you submit information in public or member-facing areas—e.g., contacting a lister, messaging another member, creating a Listing, adding contacts to a Listing, Professional Directory/Profiles, reviews—others may view it. 420equipment is not responsible for information you disclose publicly.

Information We Collect

We collect information from you, your devices, and third parties:

-Account & Contact Information. Name, company, street address, email, telephone; professional/industry details for Professional Profiles.
-Listing & Transaction Data. Listing content, attachments, messages you send through our forms; order history; subscriptions; promotional selections.
-Payment/Billing. Billing address and payment details necessary to process purchases (collected by us and/or PCI-compliant processors for authorization, billing, and fraud prevention).
-Usage, Device & Log Data. IP address, coarse location (e.g., country/region), browser/user-agent, referrer, device identifiers, timestamps, pages viewed, feature use, error logs, and anti-fraud/abuse signals.
-Search & Activity. Individual search activity and on-site behavior for operations, security, analytics, and product improvement.
-Cookies & Similar Technologies. Cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, local storage, and advertising identifiers (see Cookies/Tracking).
-Third-Party Sources. Leads or contact information from service partners, referral sources, and publicly available records.
-AI Features Data. Prompts/inputs you submit and outputs returned (see AI Features & Data Handling).

-Deidentified & Aggregated Data. We may create, use, share, and retain deidentified or aggregated information for any lawful purpose. We maintain measures designed to prevent reidentification and will not attempt to reidentify deidentified data except to test safeguards.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

-Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Websites and Services;
-Create, manage, and support accounts, Listings, and Professional Profiles;
-Process orders, subscriptions, and payments;
-Route inquiries and facilitate communications you initiate;
-Provide customer support and service announcements;
-Send marketing and promotional messages (subject to your choices);
-Personalize content and measure performance;
-Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and security incidents;
-Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and policies;
-Support business operations, audits, accounting, and corporate transactions.

Combining Sources & Inferences

We may combine information from across our Services, your devices, partners, and public sources, and derive inferences (e.g., interests, segments) to operate, secure, improve, and market the Services, subject to applicable law.

You may request deletion or deactivation by emailing support@420equipment.com. We may require verification and will respond within applicable timeframes.

AI Features & Data Handling

When you use AI-assisted features (image generation, search, text generation) (the “AI Features”), we collect the content you submit (AI Inputs), the results returned (AI Outputs), and limited technical logs (e.g., time, IP, browser) to operate, secure, improve, and audit the AI Features and to store outputs with your listing drafts. We disclose AI Inputs—only as necessary to provide the AI Features—to third-party AI providers acting as our service providers/processors (currently, OpenAI). Per OpenAI’s business/enterprise disclosures, OpenAI does not train its models on customer business/API data by default, and customers retain ownership of inputs/outputs to the extent permitted by law. We may change AI providers over time. We do not permit AI providers to use your AI Inputs/Outputs for their own model training by default. Provider retention (if any) is limited to what is necessary to operate the service and detect abuse under the provider’s terms. Our retention of AI Inputs/Outputs follows this Policy and applicable law; you may request deletion consistent with Opt-Outs & Your Rights. Disclosures to AI providers are made as service-provider disclosures and are not a “sale” of personal information; where our advertising cookies constitute “sharing” under CPRA, you may use our Do Not Sell or Share controls.

Use of Email Tools

You may not use our email tools to send spam or content that violates our Terms. We may monitor, track, or save use of email tools for abuse prevention and support but are under no obligation to do so. If you use “Email This Item to a Friend” for a non-member, we use the recipient’s address only to send your message and a one-time invitation; we store related data solely to route that message and track referral performance. We do not rent or sell those addresses. To request removal, contact support@420equipment.com.

Sharing & Disclosures

We share personal information as follows:

-Service Providers/Processors. Vendors that host, support, analyze, bill, process payments, deliver emails/notifications, provide security/anti-fraud, or otherwise operate the Services. Providers may use information only to perform services for us.
-Affiliates. Entities under common ownership or control for the purposes described in this Policy, subject to applicable law and your rights.
-Other Users/Public Areas. As you direct—e.g., when contacting a lister, creating Listings, or publishing Professional Profiles.
-With Your Consent. As disclosed at collection or when you authorize a connection/integration.
-Legal, Safety, and Rights. To comply with law, legal process, or government requests; to protect rights, users, or the public; and to investigate suspected fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms.
-Corporate Transactions. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets. Information will remain subject to this Policy or a successor policy with notice and any required choices.

We do not rent or lease user information to third parties except as described above. We may obtain contact information from third-party sources to reach out where a legitimate business interest exists and permitted by law. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.

Security of Personal Information

We employ administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information during transmission and at rest. When you enter sensitive information (e.g., payment details) on our order forms, we encrypt transmission using SSL/TLS. No security controls are perfect; we cannot guarantee absolute security. Questions: support@420equipment.com.

Cookies/Tracking

We and our partners use Cookies and Other Web Technologies (pixels, tags, SDKs, local storage, advertising identifiers) on the Websites and Services:

-Operationally Necessary. Access, authentication, security, fraud prevention, core features (e.g., saved searches, carts).
-Performance/Analytics. Metrics, diagnostics, and error reports to understand and improve performance.
-Functionality. Preferences, saved items, geolocation, and engagement with messages/notifications.
-Advertising/Targeting. To deliver relevant content and measure advertising effectiveness on our Websites and, where applicable, third-party sites.
-Managing Cookies. Browser/device settings and third-party tools may allow you to block, delete, or limit cookies/identifiers. Blocking certain cookies may impact functionality. Resources include: allaboutcookies.org/manage-cookies and networkadvertising.org/mobile-choice. Some partners offer their own opt-outs.

-Do Not Track. Industry standards for DNT are evolving. We do not currently respond to DNT signals. Some third parties may collect information over time across sites to tailor content/ads; review your browser settings for available controls.

Log Files & Local Storage

We automatically collect and store IP address, browser type, ISP, referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamps, and clickstream data to operate and secure the Services. We also use local storage to remember settings and support features. Certain partners may use local storage to deliver functionality or advertising consistent with this Policy.

Social Media Features

Our Websites include social media features and widgets (e.g., Facebook Like, X/Twitter). These may collect your IP address and the page you visit and may set a cookie to function properly. Your interactions are governed by the providers’ privacy statements.

Collection and Use of Third-Party Personal Information

You may provide information about others (e.g., co-owners, brokers, referrals). Use such information only for the requested purpose. Do not provide another person’s sensitive data without their consent.

Public Member Directory

We may list members in a publicly accessible directory. To request removal, contact support@420equipment.com.

Links to Third-Party Sites

Our Websites contain links to other sites. Their privacy practices govern any information you provide on those sites. Review each site’s policy.

Promotions & Advertising Credits (Program Metrics)

-Overview. From time to time, we offer promotional credits tied to Listing activity (the “Program”), including an Advertising Credit that may be issued when a Listing reaches one hundred (100) views as recorded by our systems.

-Program Metrics We Collect. Page-view counts per Listing; Customer and Listing identifiers; timestamps; IP and coarse location; device/browser/user-agent; referrer/session identifiers; and anti-fraud signals (e.g., bot scores, repeated/rapid views, anomalous patterns).

-How We Use Program Metrics. (i) Determine eligibility, issuance, and redemption of Advertising Credits; (ii) prevent, investigate, and deter fraud/invalid traffic; (iii) support and dispute resolution; (iv) accounting and audits; and (v) enforce Terms and policies.

-Sharing. With service providers (analytics, anti-fraud, email/notification, billing, hosting) solely to operate, secure, and audit the Program. Disclosures are service-provider/processor disclosures and are not a sale of personal information.

-Invalid Traffic. Qualifying views and invalid-traffic determinations are made by us in our sole discretion using automated and manual review; our determinations are final.

-Retention. We retain Program records as needed to operate and audit the Program and to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Typical retention for Program audit logs is up to twenty-four (24) months after the later of credit issuance, redemption, expiration, or Listing removal, unless a longer period is required by law or needed to resolve a dispute.

-Your Choices. Blocking cookies/scripts/identifiers may prevent views from being recorded and a Listing from qualifying for a credit. Where advertising cookies constitute “sharing” under CPRA, use our Do Not Sell or Share controls. Standard rights (access, deletion, correction) apply as described below.

Opt-Outs & Your Rights

Marketing Communications

We use email as a primary communication channel for system messages, product updates, service announcements, and marketing. To opt out of marketing emails (including Promotional or Sponsor emails), use the unsubscribe link in the message or email support@420equipment.com. You cannot opt out of essential transactional/service emails. Certain deletion requests may limit access to features.

Access/Correction/Deletion

If your personal information changes, or if you no longer desire our Services, you may correct, update, or delete your information in your account or by emailing support@420equipment.com.

-Verification Standards. To protect your information, we may require government-issued ID, signed declarations, or other verification steps. Authorized agents must provide proof of authorization, and we may require you to verify directly.

-Requests We May Decline; Fees. We may decline (or charge a reasonable fee for) requests that are manifestly unfounded, excessive, repetitive, or technically infeasible. If we cannot reasonably verify your identity or authority, we will deny the request.

California Privacy Rights (CPRA)

Notice of Collection & Purposes. We collect the categories described under Information We Collect for the purposes in How We Use Information.

-“Sale” and “Sharing.” We do not “sell” personal information as defined by CPRA. We may “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising via advertising cookies/identifiers. If we materially change this posture, we will provide notice and a right to opt-out before any such change takes effect.
-Opt-Out Preference Signals. Where required by applicable law, we process browser-based opt-out preference signals (e.g., Global Privacy Control) as a request to opt-out of “sharing” for that browser. Otherwise, use our on-site controls.
-Right to Know/Access, Correct, Delete. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to verification and exceptions.
Right to Limit Sensitive PI. If we process sensitive personal information, you may request to limit such use to what is necessary to provide the Services.
-Non-Discrimination. We will not discriminate for exercising your rights.

To exercise CPRA rights, email support@420equipment.com and include “CPRA Request” in the subject, or use any form we provide. We will verify your request and respond within applicable timelines.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services; to comply with law; to resolve disputes; and to enforce agreements. Typical retention periods vary by category and purpose (e.g., transaction records may be retained for tax/audit requirements; security logs for a shorter operational window). When no longer needed, we take steps to delete, de-identify, or aggregate information consistent with law.

Deletion Limits; Backups & Litigation Hold. Deleted data may persist in backups or archives for a limited period. We may retain information as needed for security, fraud prevention, tax/audit, contractual, or legal obligations, or pursuant to a litigation hold, even after account closure or a deletion request.
